Inkjet printing has become for a few years the best medium for high quality color and B&W images.
Companies like Epson, Canon and HP have made huge progress in the 10 past years to transform those old quick fading inkjet prints into archival quality very detailed prints with amazing quality and colors.
The transition from dye based inks to pigment inks was key in this process. Pigment inks have a much better light resistance than dye based inks and enable the creation of meseum grade archival prints.
We are currently using an Epson Maxart PX-H10000 (marketed in other regions as Epson 9900). The PX-H10000 is able to output prints on 44 inch (110 cm) wide rolls up to a lenght of about 30 feet. The prints we produce with this printer and our favourite Hahnemuhle and Ilford papers have a life span of about 70 years.
Fine art canvas medium have been recently added to our potfolio and enable very large prints at reasonnable prices.
